Meg draws on 30 years of experience as a lawyer to provide wise and compassionate advice, unique to each client’s personal and family situation. She understands the worries and concerns of her clients because she has been there herself: she cared for her elderly parents while raising a family of her own.
Meg excels at making often complex concepts understandable for her clients, so they can make fully informed decisions and so that they understand and can use the documents she creates.
Meg helps her clients plan for the care of their family members, whoever that might include. She creates the tools to help with the preservation and distribution of their assets, often through the use of trusts. Meg advises clients when a spouse or elderly family member is facing admission to a nursing home or long-term care facility, helping them navigate the often-confusing world of Medicaid eligibility and asset preservation.
Meg advises and advocates for children and adults with special needs, to help them obtain the services they need in order to thrive. She assists with guardianships, conservatorships, and special needs trusts, along with general estate planning. Meg provides assistance to families throughout the probate process, as well.
Meg is a frequent speaker on the topics of Elder Law and Estate Planning. When she is not working with clients, Meg spends time with her husband, daughters, and dog camping and hiking.
